Avalue’s latest innovative ECM-945GSE+ (Plus) is a highly integrated and modularized Single Board Computer. The computer is powered by Intel ® Atom™ N270 processor, which consumes low power, is energy-efficient and compatible with Intel®945GSE /ICH7-M IO control chipsets. It is embedded with DDRII memory with maximum memory capacity of 1G, supports 36-bit LVDS LCD and CRT+LVDS dual-screen display output, and supports 2 Mini PCIe and SATA interfaces each. It also comes with a gigabit ultra-speed Ethernet and six sets of USB 2.0 connectivity interfaces.

This innovative micro module single-board computer is connected to the multi-function I/O board card module (upper board) via the Pin-out method. This design resolves the problem of hardware space inadequacy and manufacturing cost is significantly reduced. The high I/O scalability fulfills different customer demands and gives them a wide array of choices. It is the industry’s first and highest-performance mini embedded computer board card product.

a) AUX-301 (High-definition Sound Effect I/O Module): Provides SATA interface CFast high-speed storage card slot, 5.1-CH HD sound effect, microphone input, sound effect output/input interface and loudspeaker functions.
b) AUX-302 (POS/POI Application I/O Module): Provides RJ11 cable modem slot, 1 set of USB 2.0 interface, users can set Hot Key 8-bit universal output/input and iButton interfaces. Also embedded with 9-pin 2.0mm touch screen panel connectivity interface, and HD sound effect interface to develop scalable Kiosk design.
c) AUX-303 (Information Security Application I/O Module): Provides RJ11 cable modem slot, 1 set of COM and USB2.0 interface each, users can set Hot Key 8-bit universal input/output interface. Also provides hard disk “Secure Erase” function to protect hard disk from information leak.
d) AUX-304 (Automobile I/O Module): Provides RJ11 cable modem slot, 2 sets of COM interfaces (1 set RS-232, 1 set RS-485), automobile CAN bus, and PC104 connector.
e) AUX-305(Mobile Device I/O Module): Provides SATA interface CFast high-speed storage card slot, high integration battery charger.

These combinations support DC wide-voltage input, from +10V to +28V (provided by micro IO module). Single Board Computer module dimension is 146mm x 101mm. The I/O module dimension is 101.6mm x 59.35mm. This year the product is also honored by the Taiwan Excellence Award 2010.
